So this one features the neck pickup of the Spank model with a Drop B tuning on the JTV-89. On the right, you're gonna hear a Blackface Lux model with a little bit of compression and reverb. On the left, you're gonna hear a Tweed B-Man preamp model. So on the first demo, I mapped a Drop C Reso preset I created on the JTV-89 to the POD HD500. Like I mentioned earlier in the series, the HD500 features a VDI Variax Digital Input that allows you to route specific guitar models and tunings from the Variax to individual presets on the HD500. I used the free POD HD500 application to create all the sounds you're about to hear and I spent most of the time toggling between the effects, amps and mixer windows before I moved over to the setlist pane to export all my sounds to the POD HD500. The first thing I want to point out is that this rig was put together with a pretty minimal number of connections: one connecting the JTV-89 to the POD HD500, an L6 connection between the HD500 and the first DT50 and a second one connecting the L6 Link thru on head one to the L6 Link in on head two. In this video, we're going to pull all this gear together to build some pretty complex sounding rigs that are actually pretty easy to configure.
